Atex Distributing as a company is committed to providing any equipment necessary to satisfy the specific needs of our customers. The majority of manufacturers today are high volume and production minded, but we attempt to fill the gap left by that type of mass production by providing specialty modifications to existing units per factory specifications. Atex Distributing has the ability to engineer and provide specialty controls including remote access digital controls and other climate control solutions.

Past Projects Include:

• In the picture, Atex Distributing's John Michael, Jr. works on a unit with the building manufacturer and the Florida Solar Energy Center on a project in which we supplied a high efficiency heat pump with Energy Recovery Ventilator controlled by a CO2 sensor with variable, stepped ventilation rates based on CO2 levels in classroom.
  
  
• Developed a specialty unit for a mining application for Kennecott Copper Mining, the largest copper mine in the world. All controls were removed from the equipment and owner's PLC had complete control of starting and stopping all motor components in the unit.
  
  
• Designed and built a specialty water cooled unit for a geothermal research project for North Carolina State University Installed monitoring controls to log indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity levels for units installed in test applications.
